It's surprising how limited the options are for antenna installations in North County. In my quest to reduce reliance on streaming services, I explored the benefits of modern TV antennas, which have evolved significantly from the cumbersome, 8-foot yagi-style models of the past. This makes me wonder why more people haven't considered antennas as a viable alternative to streaming and cable. After reviewing a handful of local vendors, I chose Julian at North County Home Audio Video & Security. Julian and his team are not only knowledgeable but also show exceptional craftsmanship. I was particularly impressed by their meticulous approach to cable management, ensuring that all wiring was discreetly concealed. They were well-prepared with the necessary equipment, including a large ladder, which facilitated the optimal placement of the antenna. I am extremely pleased with the installation. Now, I can enjoy the Big 4 networks (CBS, FOX, ABC, NBC) from Oceanside without a monthly fee. Having already set up an HD Homerun and a Channel DVR, the new antenna seamlessly integrated into my home network. Julian did a phenomenal job setting up our audio/video system (65 inch Samsung TV with surround sound, Yamaha amplifier, Klipsch subwoofer with amp, Polk center channel, and stereo speaker selector with 14 speakers hardwired around our home including 2 outside speakers on our patio). He inherited a previously done very poor speaker installation which didn’t enable the full capability of the speakers and had actually missed connecting up 2 of the speakers. He fully explained all that needed to be done and diligently did his work to complete the install in a timely and efficient manner. I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who needs a knowledgeable expert in audio/video at a competitive price.
Recently, I completed a home remodel and an ADU addition at the same time and needed a full AV & internet installation for both areas. Julian completed this in ONE day and even added a separate hub for the ADU internet so it would not interfere with my home internet. He is extremely knowledgeable in how to set up/wire many different systems and explained everything to me as he went along so I would know how the entire system worked. In addition, he was very patient with my questions and answered them in a manner that I could understand.
