For complete rookies, what a wonderful experience (completely over the phone)! They were helpful, informative, and their customer service was outstanding. Zach really took the time to understand what we needed and worked within our budget by providing multiple options to complete our home theater, and Lon & Matt were excellent on the installation. Their installation work was clean and professional. We did have some miscommunication on installation price for a second phase, which they apologized for and went to great lengths to try and make it right. We ended up choosing to do the remaining installation ourselves but they were so kind to offer any assistance over the phone if needed. Overall, their communication was really great. We felt they were so wonderful to work with and knowledgeable - we'd most definitely use them again in the future!

I was in the store just to browse options for amplifiers for my recently acquired KEF R3 Metas. Zach assisted me and suggested some excellent options that should pair well with my current speakers. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to work around my needs and limitations. It’s rare nowadays to receive genuine, face-to-face customer service at this level. Both Zach and Bill, the owner, were fantastic! This was my first time at Stereoland, and I’m amazed by their selection, expertise, and exceptional customer service. I will definitely return whenever that itch for the next latest and greatest comes up — and it will. I highly recommend this little gem of an establishment in the Twin Cities.

What a wonderful store! I have stopped by twice, working with Zach Blume. He was incredibly patient, spent a good deal of time with me reviewing the different headphone options, their pros and cons, and helped me make a great selection. Honest, patient, meticulous customer service made for a productive experience and I view this as an exemplary store. Highest rating, and I consider them a resource that I plan to use in the future!

I’ve been a customer for years and have bought a variety of new and used gear and have had a great customer service experience every time. They also have sold several pieces of mine on consignment with good turnaround times for those sales. No pressure, casual approach to selling - there’s no audiophile snobbery here, but they know their stuff if you need to get technical. I highly recommend their used vinyl…they’ve kept their vinyl prices low over the years. A hidden gem for vinyl enthusiasts. They work to earn your business , which I find to be a rarity in retail these days. I hope they continue to earn the support of the Mpls area so we hi-fi types don’t get stuck ordering on the internet from a warehouse!

Jim and Scott are willing to help you build your hi - fi heaven no matter what your budget is.My first visit was exceptional experience,I came to audition just the Linton speakers but Jim managed to demonstrate all set ups and introduced Rogue audio amp to me that I bought eventually. These guys are fantastic. I’ve been bringing our cherished turntables to them for years and have bought equipment from them ranging from a used Marantz receiver for my daughter, to an Anthem MRX 740 receiver which is by far the best receiver I’ve ever owned. Kudos to Jim who installed our new receiver while showing as much enthusiasm for his install as we have for HiFi Sound.

Eric and Mark are lovely, patient, fun and COMPETENT. I bought a subwoofer and a Bluesound Node and had trouble with both. (My teenager would call it a "skill issue" on my part, and she would be right.) They walked me through my troubles and got my house rockin'. Now I want some Maggies...

Just what you want an audio shop to be. Knowledgeable, friendly, no pressure. I had an issue with installation of my system and Eric went above and beyond in resolving it. My music sounds great on the system I bought.
