quick shout out to my HiFi shop. If you are looking to build a system from scratch or upgrade your current system, do yourself a favor and check them out. I made the trip to Winston Salem from Raleigh and it was so worth it! It’s unlike any other shop. Imagine being treated with respect no matter what your budget or musical taste? No snobbery, no nonsense, just honest advice based on YOU, not what they want to sell. They take the time to get to know you and find out about YOUR sound and recommend speakers/components that work together toward that sound. Very knowledgeable and courteous people! All the employees go out of their way to help and answer all your questions surrounding hi-fi audio. I stopped by to test some records on their sound system and the owner, Chris, was able to explain everything I was hearing and how the stylus of the record player interacts with the grooves to create the sounds you hear. He was also able to help in fine tuning speaker placement to create the best sounding soundstage out of what you have. Very cozy and welcoming atmosphere, highly recommend!
