Much thanks to Russ at the HiFi Haus. He brought my soundless Sansui G-5000 receiver back to it’s original sonic brilliance. I couldn’t be happier with the performance of the unit and I highly recommend this business for all your sound system service needs. In addition, there is an impressive inventory of quality audio components (new and pre owned) at wide ranging price points. The HiFi Haus was thorough in diagnosing and repairing the receiver and was in contact with me during the whole process. I also was provided with a detailed report on what was fixed and so on. Peerless service in all facets and an excellent overall experience!

Russell is a helluva guy...kind, patient and SUPER thorough. He did great work on my 70s Rega turntable; it's never looked or sounded better. Very reasonable and flexible when giving options for repair/service; he'll make sure you get exactly what you need, offer options you didn't know you had, but also won't push you to spring for costly extras you may not want (or can't afford). Very good at making the best out of whatever budget you're working with. If it's buying gear that you're interested in, he has a concise collection of great equipment always available, ranging from budget/entry level to high-end/audiophile. The current appointment-only shopping is definitely worth it. If you're looking to buy a turntable/receiver/speakers--he has a nice space with the ability to audition pieces, in order to find what you like, and allows you his full attention while you're there. If you're in for repairs, he can walk you through what needs to be done and what your options are. Bottom line: HiFi Haus is the place to go, and the shop Madison desperately needed. Thanks Russell!

Had a great time here shopping for my first home stereo set-up! Tons of cool new and vintage options. Russel was great about letting me test out any of the products I was potentially interested in, and helpful in determining where best to spend my money and still remain in my set budget. Russel was also great about recommending certain products, but was not pushy about trying to upsell something just for the sake of it costing more. Its clear that he has a passion for audio equipment, and trying to get the customer the best possible gear for their needs! I will certainly be coming back in the future for any potential upgrades or repairs, and would recommend to anyone looking for some quality home audio.

Decided it was time to upgrade my speakers, stopped by University Audio, spent an informative and delightful hour (or so) with Steve, made my choice, and am extremely satisfied with the speakers and with the attention and service received. The suggestions were tailored to my music tastes, my price range was respected, Steve was very patient with my decision-making process. I think he truly enjoyed answering every question and allowing me to listen to my final choices again and again and again. A week later I had an unrelated question about my system (not related to a purchase), and the phone consultation was thorough and helpful. They will definitely get my return business.

University Audio recommended and installed five built-in speakers, a subwoofer, and receiver for my office. I was nervous going into this because I'm pretty picky when it comes to quality sound systems. That said, I'm really blown away by the quality of the audio. I'd highly recommend them to anyone in a similar situation.

Greatly appreciated Chad and Ben's help in creating the first new audio system that I've had in almost 20 years. Whenever I had questions Chad was available to help. Loving the Control4 remote (which also has an app for controlling my new system from my iPhone!) The NAD receiver with BluOS has been a wonderful way to experience music digitally. Thanks so much!
