I recently had the pleasure of visiting Uptown Audio Video, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Jayson answered the door for my cold visit (they were not expecting me to drop by) but the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and an inviting atmosphere that immediately set the tone. Now, I am a newcomer to the world of high-fidelity audio, but Jayson, the owner, is a true expert in his field – it was obvious after speaking with him for a short time that this guy not only knew his business….he really cares that people have the best experience possible. He took plenty of time to show me various 2-channel stereo setups, meticulously explaining the nuances and features of each system. His knowledge and passion for high-quality audio were evident in every detail, making my experience both informative and enjoyable. We listened to various stereos that were set up in the store, and if you want to learn a thing or 3, this is the place to go. Jayson guided me through different setups, allowing me to experience the distinct sound qualities each one offered. This continued over the course of THREE listening rooms. It's funny, in the audiophile world, everyone is chasing the 'truest sound'.....but it's different for every one of us. And Jayson 'gets' that. My tour wrapped up listening to some headphones that I had specifically asked about when I first came in. This hands-on approach was incredibly helpful and allowed me to make an informed decision based on my personal preferences. The store itself is a haven for audiophiles, with a wide selection of high fidelity equipment that caters to every taste and budget. Love blue VU meters and emerald script? This is your haven. The listening rooms are designed to ensure that every note and nuance is heard with clarity and precision. I learned what it means when people say that a song or album is just a bad recording. I was amazed and dismayed when one of my favorite songs had a ton of background noise. Overall, my visit to Uptown Audio Video was memorable and incredibly satisfying. I’d recommend his store to anyone in search of top-notch audio equipment and expert advice. These guys have done an awesome job for me more than once. First, two years ago they installed a 5-room Sonos system, sourced and installed Smart TVs, and tightened up the security camera system at the house we bought. Everything has continually worked extremely well. Recently, due to power surges, my security cameras went out. They came out within a couple of days and fixed them for me. Service was excellent and courteous; I highly recommend.
