Customer Reviews
We recently moved to Melbourne and bought a house that had a ton of equipment in it that was put in by a company that is now out of business. We called Indian River Sight and Sound and Gary and Donnie came and set everything up for us in less than 2 1/2 hours. They were extremely nice and took their time explaining everything to us and got rid of all the extraneous equipment that was not needed. We highly recommend this company if you have any IT issues with your home. We were very impressed with Gary and Donnie and we will definitely recommend them to anyone who needs their services. Thank you so much.
STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! (They play on your lack of knowledge of their profession) Google really needs less than 1 star for this review to be accurate.. The only place to really begin is at the time of contract review prior to signing. Excited for their new home, i wanted to make sure that my parents were not being "taken for a ride" due to the nature of the waterfront dream home. This company had the nerve to charge $250 per light switch. $245 per 720p (10ft. night vision) AMAZON brand camera system. Overpriced Denon TRASH. Dad had one request- simplicity. NUVO is far from Apple friendly. Airplay integration was a must and was PROMISED. Did some research, NUVO has no Airplay support. Per request, we wanted Sonos Amps to replace the NUVO tech. Tom convinced my parents that he was right as he was a certified NUVO Rep and that the internet doesnt know it all. Continuing through the packet, i found major flaws. All of which resulted in snide, personally degrading remarks on my knowledge. All to which i said okay, guess time will tell... 6,000sqft home and 1, heavily outdated router... Tom informed mom and dad it was plenty. I overruled as who wants to be at a house with no internet 30' away from the access point? The mesh system quoted was series 1 of mesh networks (5 years old). OKAY TOM. Lets get to the after install experience.... Upon move in, first thing needed to be heard was the stereo. Come to find out "We will be out in a week or so to finish the system"- Moving into dream home with no dream priced stereo in the background? After demanding numerous times, Tom (owner) finally sent a crew out. They turned the system on and left. Nothing worked as promised and GUESS WHAT... NO AIRPLAY!!! Tom had no defense other than-"it just takes time to learn, i have this system in my (Insert whatever braging about lavish home words you'd like as he used them all) mountain home in North Carolina and it is just absolutely beautiful. Give me until i get back from a month long trip there and we will come tune your system" Admitting his knowledge of the lack of AirPlay support. Everyone understands a nice 40-60 hour break-in period however what isnt okay is when the system just doesnt work. Problem after problem. 5 weeks later a crew arrived. Less than impressed with the result. Stereo on porch couldnt handle turning up past 35-40% volume, amp was overloaded. Come to find the stereo was wired WRONG, and the amp could not handle the power demand. After a very long and insult after insult from Tom and his crew filled convo about how they do this for a living but since we are paying i guess we can get the Sonos amps previously requested. 4 weeks later, Tom and Crew left defeated. Even with the wrong wiring job done by the crew, the new AirPlay supported (no profit margin to retailer/installer) Sonos amps DESTROY the old system. "You can not fill outdoor areas with 4 ceiling speakers" to one of the loudest and clearest 250W Stereo systems i have ever heard outside.. Needless to say we are now on our 3rd and wrong WiFi system. From multiple visits from internet provider to realizing the "certified install crew" more than likely stapled a few Cat6 cables... The worst of all, how does a company accidentally carve a hole into a wall for the WRONG ($1,000 Cheaper) subwoofer? This was met with "oh my guys probably grabbed the wrong one, they look the same." Im not certified here, but an 8" sub in a rectangular shaped frame is far different than a much larger 10" sub in a very large perfect sq. chassis. Either tried to sneak one by or this is an example of incompetency. *I am writing this review per request of the homeowner- TOP DOLLAR, terrible, experience my parents received during and after the construction of their dream home. This review comes almost 1 year after move in. I must input i am not a certified professional in any sense other than i am 26 years old, grew up with an engineering mindset, and have a larger knowledge base due to years of hands on research and personal experience than this companies history combined.
My builder used this company for home automation and alarm system. The home automation system didn’t work, the whole home Speaker system had numerous problems - had to end up replacing both. A year later, I get a bill for the alarm system, pay it, and they cancel my service. I call the office over and over again - goes to voice mail. Leave several messages - no response. Email them - they finally respond that I cancelled my service (they cashed the check for a years worth of alarm monitoring). Ended up switching alarm companies. Stay away from this company!!!
