My project involved replacing a 70" wall mounted TV with a new 85" and providing and programing a new remote that controlled 5 devices and a surround sound system. I found Custom Automation Technologies on line. Dan (owner) took my call and set an installation date. The install and programing went very smoothly. The most impressive activity involved repositioning the wall bracket and assuring the structural integrity. Dan and crew were very conscientious. Programing the new remote to control some of the older devices proved to be challenging but Dan and crew were up to the task! I highly recommend Custom Automation Technologies, they are professional, courteous and respectful of your property.

I am very happy with the service I received from Dan and the CAT Crew. They installed a projector and sound system in my basement, and they did an excellent job. They were very professional, friendly, and efficient. They also showed great problem solving expertise when they encountered some challenges with the wiring and the placement of the speakers. CAT was highly recommended by a neighbor. Dan, the owner/tech was extremely knowledgeable and set up our entire system very efficiently and professionally. When we later changed equipment and needed to reprogram the system, Dan had maintained our old specs and was able to refer to them during the reprogramming which greatly minimized the time necessary to perform the changes. Dan was a pleasure to work with and I would certainly use him again for any future installation or reprogramming.

We had a difficult over-fireplace installation in a 1910's house. RJ and his crew carefully evaluated the job and gave me exactly what we wanted. They came back and installed our home security system as well and we are very happy. We highly recommend them.

Dan at Custom Automation Technologies (CAT) is awesome. We bought an existing home that we knew would provide challenges around the existing security system and low-voltage wiring. Let's just state the wiring and alarm system needed major updates. Dan and his team came in, overcame the obstacles, and provided the exact solution we had hoped we would get. Our solution includes security, cameras, sensors (for motion, sump pump, and water), and finally automation (for HVAC, locks, lighting, and doors). We love the final product. We were with a major alarm company for well over 18 years. If we had known about CAT we would have switched years ago. Dan is a pro and knows exactly what to suggest. I would highly recommend this company to anyone having a custom home automation project, big or small.

We worked with Dan to wire the sound system during the remodeling of our basement. He did a great job of suggesting modification that helped maximize the versatility of the system. It works great for the 2 TVs and we can play music from our phones or iPads. We also added 2 outdoor speakers and connected the kitchen speakers. We can play the same music on all or play different songs downstairs. Dan was very responsive during the design and installation process.
