I recently made my first (and certainly not last) purchase from the good folks at Now Listen Here. My journey started out with proprietors Aaron and Jen welcoming me, as well as the equipment I lugged out, to their Harrisburg home / showroom. I was immediately impressed by the vast and varied inventory this seemingly "small" (NOT!) dealership had on hand, and the level of detail and comfort that accompanied each of the various listening rooms. Aaron was very patient with my desire to "A > B > (then back to) A" compare the components I brought against the ones he was offering, and he didn't flinch when I told him I liked the half-as-costly speakers better than the ones he had in mind. We spent the better part of the day talking music, equipment, local landscape and whatever else came to mind. I left that day knowing exactly what I wanted to purchase. A few communications later and we had a price that both of us were happy with. Fast forward several weeks later, when all items ordered had arrived at his store. Since a portion of my order was a turntable / cartridge combo, I requested that the setup of such be done at my home. Aaron was very flexible with his availability, and he arrived on time and ready to work. A few hours later I was spinning records on my expertly-installed VPI / Soundsmith setup, and I've been doing just that on a daily basis since then. The other components, designated for our beach condo, will be installed next week. I'm sure I'll be equally as happy with those. A true 5-star experience that I'll be happy to re-visit in the future.

It is great having a traditional brick and mortar store selling high quality audio equipment in downtown Lancaster, PA. The owner was kind enough to allow me to listen to several combinations of speakers, integrated amps, pre-amps, etc., without trying to influence me into buying the most expensive equipment he had. He features Pennsylvania made Rogue Audio and other Hi-Fi level manufacturers. I am still deciding on which stereo set-up I want to purchase, but I did buy a pair of Hifiman He-400i and the EF2C headphone amp after trying virtually every headphone set he had. In summary, you can spend a lot money on audio equipment (obviously) so having a store where you can actually listen to the equipment before you buy, along with the owner's expertise is a great asset.

Aaron is excellent and I can't recommend highly enough! I have bought two stereo systems and accessories from him as well as a pair of headphones and accessories as well. Not only does he stand by what he sells he helped with the install. A laborious task where have to make sure my chair and speakers and subwoofer were all properly integrated. No easy feat in my space. The prices are fair, the service impeccable, and, where he can, he will save you money over the competition. What have you got to lose. I can't recommend highly enough!
